After a long week, we are always excited for the weekends. This weekend we wanted to do something more than just usual. Toronto will surprise you every time you decide to know it even more. So we decided to explore the unexplored. Here are some interesting events happening this weekend in Toronto, are excited already?

Food Truck'N Friday

Season 4 of Food Truck’N Friday will include 18 scheduled events at its primary residence in Etobicoke. It runs bi-weekly, rain or shine, in the parking lot at Bloor Street West and Resurrection Road (just west of Islington subway station). Plenty of free parking is available.

Toronto True Crime Film Festival at The Royal Cinema

Toronto True Crime Film Festival is a 2-day film festival dedicated to true crime on the big screen, including both documentary films and fictionalized films based on true crimes. The first-annual event features five screenings at The Royal Cinema and three symposiums at Monarch Tavern.

Audience: All Ages

Price: $13 per screening | $10 per symposium | $65 all-access pass

Cocktales with Maria at Ernest Balmer Studio

Drag Chanteuse / Contralto Profundo Maria Toilette works with her small motley crew (the Gutter Opera Collective) to present Isaiah Bell’s settings of Cocktales: salacious and tender 1st person retellings of early sexual experiences. Featuring: Joel Klein as Maria Toilette Kristina Lemieux as Vadge Composition: Isaiah Bell.

Yonge-Dundas Square 15th anniversary at Yonge-Dundas Square

Yonge-Dundas Square is celebrating 15 years with an all-day celebration capped by a performance by indie rockers the New Pornographers.

The day will feature virtual painting starting at noon, food trucks, live performances and more activations to celebrate the square's 15 years as a popular event and meeting space in the downtown core.

Rouge After Dark at Rouge National Urban Park

Experience the wildest nightlife in the city and explore the dark side of the Rouge with this free, family-friendly event. Start the evening off with campfire-side stories and s’mores then choose your own adventure on illuminated trails.

Queens Drive and King Street Annual Street Sale at Queens Drive between Jane and Rosemount

Annual Yard Sale. Over 60 houses participating. Home baking, homemade butter tarts, Royal Doulton figurines, antiques, furniture, collectables, and much much more. The street sale is easy to access by TTC.

Neighbourhood Street Sale at Weston Village

Residents on John street, King Street and Queen’s Drive will be hosting a street sale. Dozens of houses participating! Weston Village Neighbourhood - Jane and Lawrence - north of Lawrence - M9N1J8.

Time: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Foodalicious at Downsview Park

Food lovers can follow the savoury aromas to Downsview Park, for this celebration of gourmet street food that brings together some of the best food trucks that Toronto has to offer. All delicious, some fused, all made with love. June 9 (11 a.m.-11 p.m.), 10 (11 a.m.-8 p.m.).

Toronto Challenge at Nathan Phillips Square

The 2018 Toronto Challenge takes place on Sunday, June 10. Open to all ages and abilities, the Toronto Challenge, presented by MonsterMortgage.ca, is a 5-kilometre chip-timed run, 5k walk or a 1k fun walk to raise awareness and funds for organizations that are improving the quality of life for seniors in your community.

Taste of Russia at Mel Lastman Square

Toronto’s Russian-speaking community welcomes everyone to the Taste of Russia, an annual celebration showcasing the rich culture of the peoples of Russia and its diversity.

Mark's Choice Through the Garden Gate: Windfields Estate at Toronto Botanical Garden

Mark’s Choice Through the Garden Gate, is Toronto’s largest tour of private gardens. This self-guided tour enables participants to discover these beautiful gardens at their own pace following a map and garden guide containing descriptions of the featured gardens. June 9 and 10.

Beaches Arts & Crafts Show at Kew Gardens

An outdoor curated art and craft event featuring the handmade work of Canada's finest artists, artisans and designers. Now in our 34th year visitors will roam amongst more than 150 tents in beautiful Kew Gardens Park and discover original fashion pieces, fine art, jewellery, home and garden décor, delicious gourmet treats and lots more. June 9, 10.
