By Lindsay Cooper Much like contouring and highlighting, colour correction has long been a secret of beauty industry professionals. Based on the colour wheel, colour correction is basically the combination of complimentary colours to neutralize any problem areas. Thanks to cosmetics brands’ recent rollout of new colour correcting problems, you can now fix almost anything when you wake up with discolouration, just use a pigment that lies opposite on the colour wheel. With five basic categories for correction, this technique can be used to correct redness (using a green concealer), sallow yellow undertones (using an all-over purple primer), under eye dullness (using salmon shades), bruising (thanks to yellows), and dark circles on those with dark complexions (with warm orange tones). Whatever your problem area, a makeup artist out there has the solution, and we’re here to share our favourites.
